The biggest comic convention south of Manila is back on its fifth annual run. Organized by the Graphic Literature Guild (GLG), ELBIKON is all set to host over a hundred exhibitors, including Manix Abrera (Kikomachine Komix), and Toto Madayag (Libreng Komiks).
ELBIKON is where artists can showcase their crafts in the form of comic books, artworks, and merchandise. It also serves as a venue for learning and exchange of ideas, as well-known comic icons give talks and lectures on a wide variety of topics.
This year, artists Richard Mercado (Uy Si Crush), Marian Hukom (Marianie), Electromilk, and Gioseppe Custodio (Loser Mangaka) will be giving comics-related talks, while free workshops will be facilitated by Mac Andre Arboleda (Asshulz) on collaboration in comics, EK Gonzales (komiksninja) on reviewing comics, and Rafael Gumboc on comic-making.
So come on down this coming February 17, Saturday at the UPLB Baker Memorial Hall in Los Baños, Laguna. Doors will open as early as 9:00 a.m. and will close at 7:00 p.m. You can get your tickets from GLG for P30 or buy them at the door for P50.
See you guys there!
